# Overview This is the official Opendesktop App. It allows you to directly install and apply most themes, wallpapers and other items for various desktop environments from within the app by directly using the "Install"-button instead of the "Download"-button. Currently supported are many popular desktop environments like KDE Plasma, Gnome, Mate, XFCE, Cinnamon, Budgie, LxQt, Elementary, Trinity and Enlightenment. # Installation To try the app without installing, simply download the AppImage package and make it executable, then Double-Click on it. To properly install the AppImage: 1. Download the package 2. Open a terminal 3. Go to the directory where the file has been downloaded 3. Execute the following commands by replacing *filename* with the actual downloaded filename: $ chmod +x *filename*.AppImage $ ./*filename*.AppImage --install Proper installation is recommended to register the app in the desktop menu and make it check for updates.
